Covid-19 - RD Dental

We wish you and your loved ones a Happy New Year and we cannot thank you enough for your support and patience during 2020. We are pleased to say we have now contacted or attempted to contact all of our patients and have managed to see the majority of our patients in the latter half of 2020.

As you are aware it was announced on 31st December 2020 that Leicestershire would be moving to Tier 4. We are pleased to announce that, as we are an essential healthcare service, we have been instructed to remain open and will continue to provide all forms of dental treatment.

In the interests of your safety and the safety of our team we have updated our policies and procedures, which go over and above those recommended by our governing bodies. As a result of this your visit to see us will be slightly different and you may be contacted by one of our team members prior to your appointment to complete a Medical/Dental Questionnaire and a Consent to Dental Treatment form. We ask you to complete these forms at least 48 hours prior to your appointment in the interests of your safety and the safety of our other patients and team members. Failure to complete these forms (either electronically or over the phone) prior to your appointment, is likely to result in your appointment having to be rescheduled.

In the interests of the safety of all our patients, we do advise you do not attend the practice unless you have an appointment or have pre-arranged a particular time to attend.

We thank you for your patience and support over the last few months and hope you and your families are keeping safe and well. With lockdown restrictions having eased and following the release of further guidance by our governing bodies we have provided an update below:

• We are pleased to announce that we are now open for the majority of dental treatments.
• We are in the process of contacting all of our patients who had their appointment affected by the peak of the pandemic.
• As we have a large number of patients to contact please be patient with us.
• If you do need to contact us please do not hesitate to do so via phone or email.
• Please do not attend the practice unless you have an appointment or have arranged a particular time to attend.
• We have extended our opening hours and taken on additional team members to help us to see all of our patients as soon as possible.
• We have updated our policies and procedures in the interests of the safety of our patients and our staff. As a result of this your next visit to see us will be slightly different. We kindly ask that you read this document ​prior to your next appointment as it contains important information relevant to your care at RD Dental.
• We also ask that you complete this Medical/Dental Questionnaire and this Consent to Dental Treatment form at least 48 hours prior to your appointment

We thank you for your patience and support during the lockdown period and continued forbearance as lockdown restrictions ease.

We are pleased to announce that we are now open for face to face emergency and urgent dental care and are able to resume a small number of selected treatments in accordance with the advice of our governing bodies. As the alert level reduces we will be able to provide further treatments. We anticipate that we will have contacted all patients for whom we can currently provide treatment by Monday 15th June.

As a result of Covid-19 we have updated our policies and procedures in the interests of the safety of our patients and our staff. We kindly ask that you the read this document prior to your next appointment as it contains important information relevant to your future care at RD Dental. This document will be regularly updated in line with any new scientific evidence available to ensure that you feel safer than ever when you next visit us. We also ask that you complete this Medical/Dental Questionnaire and this Consent to Dental Treatment form 48 hours prior to your appointment.
