Most people don’t enjoy a visit to the dentist for many reasons.
- Bad childhood experiences
- Worried about extensive treatments
- Worried about the ‘dentist’ smell and noises
- Concerned about costs – how much will a visit be?
- Think it will be a painful experience.
We want to put your mind at rest about all of the above points.
We understand how it can feel, especially when going to a new dentist too and we encourage you to voice your concerns so we can help as much as possible.
You will see from our website that we want all our patients to be treated as if they were part of our family. This means not carrying out treatment and dental care that we would not advise our own family to have.
We are passionate about alleviating your anxiety and from the very first time you make contact with us we will act in a friendly and approachable manner to help you relax.
When you arrive for your assessment we try not to keep you waiting so you can be seen promptly and we will always chat to you and discuss your concerns before we even start to look at your teeth and gums.
We will always keep you informed and let you know our findings when we assess you and then we will spend time to formulate a plan to suit you. A plan that will ensure dental health for the long term, not just a short term fix.
We are fortunate to be able to show you images of your teeth and areas of concern using the latest cameras that are linked to screens in the treatment room for ease of access.
By using this technology we can show you with confidence what your treatment needs are for optimal dental health and we can show you how to improve and maintain your own dental health. Being able to view their mouth in this way allows our patients a greater understanding of the sources of dental problems and of course the solutions.
If treatment is required we can use the latest technology in no drill tooth preparation which is always well received by our patients and if we need to numb a tooth then we can also use topical gels to rub on the gum prior to any further intervention. We find this also is a winning formula with our patients.
We have a ceiling mounted television which we have found helps put anxious patients and children at ease. If you like you can even bring your own DVD to watch!
Our patients know we take the time to get to know them, to understand their dental problems and to offer solutions that suit them. We appreciate the trust of our patients and never take it for granted.
If you are worried about dental care why not get in touch and see how we can help and start to turn your past negative experiences into positive ones? For more information on this subject please see our Help…I’m nervous page.
You can contact us via phone or email using the contact us page.
We look forward to welcoming you as part of the family.
See you soon.
